1. Information we collect

Helmac Business Solutions Inc. ("Helmac", "we") collects the minimum information necessary to operate the www.helmac.ca site and our HBS product.

Contact data: when you write to us, we record your address, message contents and related data so we can reply.

Technical data: our site may log IP address, browser and visited pages for aggregate analytics and problem detection.

Customer data (HBS customers): the information you load into HBS is yours. Helmac only acts as data processor and does not use this data for other purposes.

2. Use of information

We use the information to (a) answer inquiries, (b) provide the HBS service, (c) bill, (d) improve the product and (e) meet legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

The www.helmac.ca site may use strictly functional cookies (language, session) and anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising-tracking cookies.

4. Sharing information with third parties

We only share information when necessary to provide the service (e.g. cloud infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare and Microsoft Azure) or when required by law.

All our subprocessors are bound by confidentiality agreements.

5. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data: encryption in transit (TLS), access control, system audit logs and regular backups.

However, no system is 100% impenetrable. If we detect an incident affecting your data we will notify you without delay.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification or deletion of your personal data by writing to [email protected].

HBS customers can exercise these rights directly from their installation or by requesting an export.

7. Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law (e.g. accounting data).

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with the last-updated date.
